2020 KIA Soul

The new redesigned Kia Soul is still the happy box and Kia continues to give what their customers desire in a roomy, affordable vehicle as they did 10 years ago. 

This 2020 Soul packed with its own personality is wider, longer and even has higher ground clearance.  It is also awash in leg, head and cargo room and has easier access with larger door openings.  All is good and Kia will probably sell another million Souls, it has many models to choose from.

It can be mated with the 6-speed manual or the new smooth shifting CVT. This new continuous variable transmission was designed wholly by Kia and uses a chain type drive belt. The top trim GT levels have available the more powerful turbocharged 1.6-liter four cylinder that kicks out over 200 ponies and is quick as a cat.  This turbo is mated with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic and so much fun to drive.  The GT-Line injects sporty flair into the Soul formula via racier front and rear fascia’s, 18-inch wheels and red accents. 

All engines deliver very good gas mileage in the 30's on the highway.  If you want even better mileage, then take a serious look at the new Kia Soul Electric as it now becomes a member of the 200 plus club with a range of 243 miles on just one charge which edges past a lot of its competition.  No more stopping for gas unless you need a big soda or some jerky. 

This new small, spunky runabout has better ride quality along with the fresh exterior design with its larger grille and squinty head lights, SUV-inspired functionality, and more interior space. The back has a new interpretation of the Soul's iconic “boomerang taillights” that flow from the floating roof design.

The “boxy styling” makes for one of the roomiest crossovers on the road.
